Onomatopoeia
By: Eve Merriam

The rusty spigot
Sputters,
Utters
A splutter,
Spatters a smattering of drops,
Gashes wider;
Slash,
Splatters,
Scatters,
Spurts,
Finally stops sputtering
And plash!
Gushes rushes splashes
Clear water dashes.
