My Journey To Retirement by Bill Floore

I have been working since I was ten years old. It was the only way to have money. I love lists and here is a list of the jobs and positions I have held to the best of my memory:
  • collection aluminum, copper, and newspapers to sell to the junk yard
  • putting Purple Martin Gasoline hand bills on cars
  • paper boy delivering the Chicago American newspaper
  • bringing a five gallon can of heating oil to a lady who sewed burlesque costumes and lived on the fourth floor
  • electrical welding at Jendro Wire Works
  • clerk at Continental Bank
  • part time clerk at Jewel Food Stores
  • parts boy at North End Auto
  • Playground Instructor for the Chicago Board of Education
  • Assistant Store Manager for Jewel Food Stores
  • MSI Coordinator for Jewel
  • Grocery Expediter for Jewel
  • warehouse shipping and receiving supervisor at Jewel 
  • warehouse operations manager of Corrugated Recycling Center at Jewel
  • Manager of Distribution Planning at Jewel
  • operations manager of safety and sanitation at Jewel
  • Loss Prevention manager for store safety at Jewel
  • fourth grade teacher in Illinois
  • fifth grade teacher in Illinois
  • teacher at Sylvan Learning Center
  • seventh grade science teacher in Arizona
