Do You Want to be A U of A English Major?: Beowulf, Chaucer's Canterbury Tales and Paradise Lost Are Just For Starters

The shade helps mitigate the extreme temperatures of August in Southern Arizona. While the temperatures on campus are above a hundred, Tucson is usually ten degrees below Phoenix.

I wonder what their water bill is?

Where are the students? They are inside avoiding the heat. Most of them are either in class, or in their dorms.

The two bookstores are very busy places. There ought to be an investigation as to why text books cost so much. A student can pay on average over eight hundred dollars for books for just one semester. Start saving.

This building is part of the College of Education. A university is made up of a number of colleges and graduate schools. Graduate schools not only offer higher degrees, they are involved in research. The education building is where English literature classes are held. Writing is taught in the Modern Languages building.

Are you following me?

Some last minute going over notes before the lecture begins.

Students start filling up the Kiva for their English literature class. Beowulf, Chaucer's Canterbury Tales and Milton's Paradise Lost are just some of the curriculum in this advanced course. This learning center has monitors in several parts of the room so that the large number of students attending the lectures can hear and see the professor's teaching. This class has a professor and three TAs for the weekly discussion groups.

Frog and Firkin on University Avenue is a popular student eatery.

Urban Outfitters has the latest in fashion.

Other places for students satisfy their sweet tooth.

I was looking for a good cup of coffee in the food court and a student directed me to the Canyon Cafe. He was right, the coffee was excellent.
