The Riverside Cafe - Burbank, California

We walk by this restaurant every morning, but never stopped there until today. We saw several businesses in California that only were open for business when they felt like it. Amazing.

This restaurant is mostly frequented by local customers. Karen was explaining to an usher that she was trying to find her husband. She intimated that her husband Pat looked a little like Abraham Lincoln. The usher said, "Oh, I saw that guy."
When Monica was young this restaurant was called Fat Burger. There was a hitching rail behind the restaurant where you could tie up your horse.
I like these kind of quaint, rustic neighborhood places.
We ordered French onion soup which was delicious.
Karen liked her dish, but did say Pat makes it better. Tim, not in the picture, had fish and chips which he said were the second best her ever had.
A view of the cook preparings our meals.
