Wednesday Part I

• the kids are bringing in music I never heard before. I am out of touch as the Candy Man knows.
• the new dates for the Candlelight Dinner are on the linked calendar.
• we are still short three social studies books and now we have to share the books with the new fifth grade teacher. Oh happy days.
• we still have not received the new math books that all the other fourth grade and fifth grade classes are using. Sweet. Not sweet.
• the students should be looking up the questions and making a study guide for the science test. They can do this at home and during discretionary time.
• the students should be bringing home finished and graded math lessons. Most are. It shouldn't take two hours to complete forty five minutes of work and still not have it done. A few are waisting class time without realizing it. Remember, most of the fifth graders had these same struggles last year and they learned to be efficient and productive.
• today we will audit the journals to see how many prompts were completed.
• there are some fourth graders who have picked up the MAI routine very quickly.
• our student store has a variety of interesting things kids can purchase.
• we still need two electric pencil sharpeners.
