Thursday

• we have twenty-five students this week who have no missing homework assignments; we have twelve students who have no missing assignments all year
• the number of students earning an A on their math tests are increasing
• of the twenty students with the most AR points in the school, eleven are MAI kids
• one fourth of the beginning band are MAI kids
• we went to individual seating to reduce the amount of talking
• we did earn a five (good behavior) in all three specials this week
• in math today we completed an extra lesson to make up for the holiday on Monday; 4th pp. 70-71 (1-5), p. 72 (1-20), ans pp. 82-85 (1-33); 5th pp 148-149 (1-36) and pp. 150-151 (1-27); 6th p. 85 (1-40), pp. 94-97 (1-25), and pp. 98-99 (1-18)
• the math moms worked hard today - thanks
• we finished Stinker From Space
• tomorrow is the last day to take The Sign of the Beaver test
• tomorrow we will audit the edit sentences and take an edit quiz
• we will not listen to the Obama speech on Tuesday; parents that want their children to see the speech are asked to record it so it can be watched at home
• the computer lab is being used for MAP testing
• we started this week putting the attendance on line (TEMS) twice a day
• more students are earning higher grades on their journal writes
