- tomorrow we have the spelling sheet due and the spelling test
- the week we come back from intersession we will not have spelling, vocabulary, or an edit quiz, but we will be starting a giant post card reading project
- today in math: 4th pp. 166-167 (16-31) and pp. 168-169 (1-13); 5th pp. 227-229 (16-67); 6th pp. 184-189 (12-41) and pp. 186-188 (1-11)
- students are starting to ask to have problems explained on the board - a good thing
- the Field Day this year is scheduled for October 30th
- we are scheduling the Pizza Guy to serve us all we can eat pizza on the last school day in December, December the 17th
- we did not get to participate in the rocket demonstration that the other fifth grades attended so we are going to purchase our own rockets, build them, paint them, and launch then on the playground - these are the neat ones with parachutes
- we are hoping to have a family camp event at Catalina State Park in February; camping on a Friday night, singing and playing the guitar by a campfire, sleeping in tents, and a hike the next morning for those who are able to attend
- to get an A on the daily journal writes the students need it to be a full page, readable, the words not spaced apart more than a letter space, and small margins - most students are already writing cursive more efficiently
Love your input. Will listen to requests or ideas for future blogs. Have a safe day. Would love to hear from former students or their great parents. God bless the United States of America.
