MAI NEWS -STRAIGHT TALK AND MORE

  • the flu has a lot of students blowing their noses; this year it seems to stay with a student for two weeks
  • 4th grade parents - the students need a lot of practice doing the long division the proper way i.e.; divide, multiply, subtact, bring down, and repeat; they need readable numbers and straight columns; they really need to know their math facts; have patience - it will take multiple times each day to show them the proper way to do this; once they can do the division without thinking about the steps, they will be set; most right now do not know how to do it
  • today in math: 4th pp. 252-253 (17-66) and pp. 254-255 (1-10); 5th pp. 318-319 (1-34) and pp. 320-321 (1-33); 6th pp. 276-277 (1-12) and pp. 278-279 (1-23)
  • tomorrow spelling is due

  1. I spent part of my day watching "Birth Day" while I folded laundry. When the little baby boy was born early and small and the mother called him "Peanut" the tears really started to flow. What a blessing--a new little one. Grandparents are a blessing too!! It is at that moment in your life when you can begin to repair, resolve, restore and rejoice in the parent/child relationship--Congrats!!:)
