- we still have not received anything for our carnival basket (items related to the University of Arizona)
- Book Fair tomorrow - bring in IN GOD WE TRUST; in other words - money,$, coin, etc.
- math today: 4th p. 402 (1-25) and p. 403 (1-90; 5th pp. 478-479 (13-64); 6th pp. 414-415 ( (31-53) and pp. 416-417 (1-9)
- tomorrow: math corrections and math test
- 5th parents, the fifth lesson today, very few questions, I doubt many students could make the standard and metric conversions: most DON'T LIKE TO SHOW THEIR WORK; check this lesson over carefully
- getting the low readers to read is like pulling teeth; every day it seems the students who have already earned Honors Reader are at the computer taking another AR test; most students in Mrs. Pruzin's first grade class have more AR points than some of my low readers
- Here Lies the Librarian is due Friday
- a lot happens in February: Spirit Celebration, Celebrate Excellence, camping, Western Day, Rodeo Days, Healthy Heart Day, Haiti Food Collection, Valentine's Party, Book Jackets due, ABC Books due
- we started science and several students have their books at home and need to bring them to school
- Audi is reading a book that is the size of WAR and Peace
- the students formed groups to teach a math lesson that we haven't learned yet: a lesson; practice problems; walking around and tutoring; reteaching through direct instruction; a test; AND CONTROL OF STUDENT BEHAVIOR so we are not wasting our time
Love your input. Will listen to requests or ideas for future blogs. Have a safe day. Would love to hear from former students or their great parents. God bless the United States of America.
