Congratulations Kayla and Lorenzo For Achieving Honors Reader

We had an absolutely fabulous Valentine's Day party which included:
  • the classroom was decorated with balloons and streamers
  • the students were given a carefully wrapped shoe box and they creatively decorated them with all sorts of goodies - Mr. Floore wasn't allowed to wrap a shoe box due to his poor wrapping skills
  • each student received a festive fortune cookie box with positive comments from every student in the class; Mr. Floore received one too
  • the students delivered their Valentine's cards
  • the students had pop, candy, pastries, chips, cookies, pop corn (we had a real pop corn machine)
  • we played pictionary - fourth grade won
  • prizes were given out
  • we voted for the best dressed outfit for a Valentine's party - Kelsey won
  • we played the name game; each student had to find out who they were and who was their counterpart
  • the kids danced with the lights out and the strobe lights on; a group of fifth graders sang together following the song "Eye of the Tiger"
  • thanks to all the parents who helped make this possible

The Bohnencamps donated an autographed U of A basketball for our carnival basket.

Due on Monday: Friday Folders; math grade sheet; vocabulary lesson 17
