The district announced that they are going to new report cards this year. As we learn more, we will keep you informed. You are asked to give feedback to the administration. We hope you do. Gone will be the traditional report card you had, your parents had, and your grandparents had. We will all need to learn how to make use of the new information and how we can make it work for your children. Change. Middle schools and high schools will keep the traditional report card.
Yesterday we had a lot of students who had missing assignments and received referrals. That is disappointing because we are in the sixth week of school. Not having a self-contained class makes it much more difficult to get to know the kids and the parents. Change.
Having leveling makes it much more difficult to give more time to subjects like language arts and math. Change.
Change is something we have to get used to and we need to try to keep a positive attitude.
