Taking Away A Child's Childhood

Shouldn't kids have time to play? to run and jump? to create? to dream? to explore? to be silly? to put on plays? to play sports? to have sleepovers? to read as much as they want, the books they want to read?

Can a twelve year old do any of that if they are doing three hours of homework a night? if they are doing homework on the weekends? if they are anxious about tests? if they are cramming? if they are spending a large part of their summer getting ready for the next year, especially math? if they have no time for friends? no tme for the family pet? if they have no time to play an instrument?

Is that price too high? Did their parents enjoy their childhoods? I did!

If the price is too high, maybe public school is for you. Maybe you want your child to go to a high school that has prom and football games and marching bands.
