In Memoriam - Charlene Kay Imhoff Pfeiffer- March 27, 1948 to August 13, 2014

Charlene was 14 in this picture. She was my first girlfriend. She wore my high school ring. Why we didn't end up married I'll never know. Maybe in another universe. God please take care of her. I'm so sad to hear about her death. I remember her sister Lucy who used to bring me notes and her brother Alex. I remember the best day of my life was spent with her. We met at Hawthorn playground. I worked at the Jewel on Sheffield and I went to Wight Junior College. Charlene went to Hawthorne Elementary School and Lakeview High School. Doris Olson was her best friend. Charlene Kay Imhoff, Later Mrs. Pfeiffer, age 66 died August 13, 2014. Charlene K. Pfeiffer, of Poplar Grove, IL, passed away Wednesday, August 13th at 7:45 p.m. She was born March 27, 1948, in Joliet, IL. Charlene is the beloved wife of Don Pfeiffer of Poplar Grove, IL; loving mother of Ross Imhoss of Rockford, IL; cherished sister of Christian Imhoff, Josephina and Lucy Imhoff. Charlene was raised in the Chicago area and was a flight attendant for United Airlines for 41 years. She had retired 2 years ago. Charlene enjoyed flowers and gardening. Her true passion was flying, she was a licensed pilot.She is preceded in death by her parents, Christian and Lucy Imhoff; brother, Alexander Imhoff; sister, Georgetta Harlow.Memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, August 18, 2014 at Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services at Buck-Wheeler-Hyland Chapel, 218 W. Hurlbut Ave, Belvidere, IL 61008 with Rev. Ed Greenfield of OSF Hospice officiating.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Wounded Warriors. Charlene might have lived in Round Lake when I did.
