On weekends I go to the animal shelter to walk dogs. You see so many sweet dogs needing a good home. I wasn't looking for one. Then I saw this little black dog in a small cat crate stacked up in the front of the kennel. He had one eye sewed shut with prickly stitches sticking out. He was wearing a cone because he had just been neutered. What happened to his eye? How did he become a stray? Why didn't someone come looking for him. This little guy was on my mind until a few days later when I adopted him. Now he is my Lucky and I am the lucky one.
