NFL - A Fan's Chicago Bears - Jim McMahon - Jimbo Culvert - Matt Suhey

Time moves on. My kids get older. The Bears put more pieces in place to become champions. Jim McMahon is drafted from Brigham Young. He gives the Bears an offense that can finally score against the good teams..

Not a great film guy. Not a great practice guy. What Jim McMahon was was a leader. Never rattled. Never without confidence. Not afraid to run or throw. Not afraid to play injured.

Matt Suhey replaced Roland Harper. He was a tough, no nonsense fullback from Penn State. He scored the first touchdown for the Bears in Super Bowl XX. When he scored, he handed the ball to the ref. A class guy.

Tommy with all-pro Gary Fencik.

Mike Adamle was drafted from Northwestern. He later joined broadcasting.

Tom with Noah Jackson.

Jimbo Culvert was one of the best left tackles in the league.

Tommy in front of Halas Hall with Otis Wilson. Otis was outstanding. Along with Mike Singletary and Wilbur Marshall, they were one of the best linebacking groups in the league.
