The Chicago Bears From Wrigley Field To Soldier Field, From Gale Sayers To Walter Payton, From Papa Halas To Mike Ditka, From Bill George To Dick Butkus To Brian Urlacher

This is Mike Ditka's second year card. I didn't like his rookie card so I never bought one. He was a great tight end and one of the reasons I became interested in the Bears. The Bears against Vince Lombardi and the Green Bay Packers, or "outdoors" against Bud Grant and the Minnesota Vikings. That was something to see. We watched great players on every team.

Steve McMichael in a practice drill. If Mike Ditka respected a player he would say he would go to war with that player. Mike would go to war with McMichael, McMahon and a lot of his players.

William Perry in a drill. There was a lot of standing around until you got your turn.

Dennis McKinnon, a wide receiver, signing something.

Emery Moorehead came to the Bears in a trade and he was with them when they won the Superbowl. Most fans can remember the game where Emery came to the sidelines of an intense game, Mike Ditka was all agitated, not at Moorehead, but what the offense was doing and he grabbed Emery by the jersey and he gave him a play and Mike shoved him back on the field.

Mark Bortz was know as Bortzilla. Look at his hand protection.

The team starts scrimmaging and the players take turns watching and getting a breather.

A sign put up by the university to honor the Bears championship.

Mike Ditka was as big a star on the team as any player, maybe bigger.

Walter Payton signing autographs.
