My Afternoons With Margueritte - Friends and The Cheesecake Factory

It's not a typical love affair,
but "love" and "tenderness"
both are there.
Named after a daisy
she lived amidst words,
surrounded by adjectives,
in green fields of verbs.
Some force you to yield,
but she with soft art
passed through my hard shield
and into my heart.
Not always are love stories
just made of love.
Sometimes love is not named.
But it is love just the same.
This is no typical love affair.
I met her on a bench
in my local square.
She made a little stir,
tiny like a bird
with her gentle feathers.
She was surrounded by words,
some as common as myself.
She gave me books,
two or three.
Their pages have come
alive for me.
Don't die now. You've still time.
Just wait.
It's not the hour,
my little flower.
Give me some more of you,
more of the life in you.
Wait.
Not always are love stories
just made of love.
Sometimes love is not named.
But it's love just the same.

"Yes, I'm going to make scrap books again. I love my students."

"Someone broke into my classroom for the second time. They took my Smartboard projector."
"Your dog has a chair at your dining room table???"

"I'm having sex dreams!!!"

A nice picture I'll share on Facebook.
Brie goes on very exotic vacations like Panama. She likes hiking, caving, diving, jungles, and beaches. Her vacation pictures on Facebook are always interesting.

You saw Magic Mike three times?

It was nice to see Dale. She took the time to talk to each of us; she has a way of making each of us feel important.

"I'm teaching my kids good posture this year. Sit up straight."

It is fun to have Brie around. Is it still Ronnie's Rascals?

Now the principal is double dipping too. I thought that was a no no.
"Yes, most certainly I still love frogs." Crystal has beautiful vacation pictures on Facebook.

I miss my kids faces. I'll put that on my blog.

I have not ruled out having a baby. Crystal, would you babysit?

I miss your faces Brie and Crystal. I miss all the teachers here today.
"I got the Smartboard I wanted. I wouldn't have it any other way. I wanted Dale to be my buddy class."

"Kathy, I've got ten more years to teach. And yes, I'm still on the Superintendent's Advisory Committee."

These teachers were the best of Copper Creek just a few years ago. Now three are gone. The group is moving away from me. That happens when you retire.
