The J. Paul Getty Museum Gardens

A volunteer explains the bougainvillea arbors and the garden layout.

Construction Facts of The Getty: 1.2 million square feet of stone; 295,000 pieces of Italian travertine; 164,000 feet of exterior glass; 3,200 doors and 5.4 million cubic feet of concrete.

Around the maze is a series of specialty gardens, each with a variety of plants.

Hi Moni.

A very beautiful azalea maze.

A cascade of water runs down a stone wall into the pool with the azalea maze.

A garden of color and shapes and offering an escape and respite from hours of traversing the galleries.

So much to see; so much to experience; so much beauty; so many reasons to visit this museum a second and third time.

An opposite view of the waterfall and azalea maze.

1.2 million visitors come to the Getty Museum each year. Each year there are new things to see.

Pat, Karen, and Monica found a shady place in the garden to rest and catch their breath.
The nice thing about being the one taking the pictures is that YOU don't have to be in them. Ha, ha!

I moved west to be able to enjoy blue skies, endemic California and Arizona blessings.
