The "Good" Old Days

Going to Michigan was always exciting. We used to bring so much junk food. We ate Twinkies and Chef-Boy-Ar-Dee in tin cans. We fished with leeches and night crawlers. We didn't fish in the rain. I remember the old men fishing with their galvanized fishing pails full of minnows. Most of those old men must be gone now. I remember when the lodge had a restaurant and you could get breakfast before going out fishing. We didn't have a great cabin back then. There was a radio but not television. You couldn't get good radio stations. It was hard to call home. We were cut off from the news for a week unless you went into town to look at a newspaper and see what the White Sox were doing. . It was a lot of fun. It is a lot of good memories of the good old days.
