Leo Corrillo Beach, California

Welcome to Leo Corrillo Beach which is just north of Malibu. Monica camped and swam here when she was little. This section of the beach allows dogs. Who was Leo Corrillo? He lived from 1881 to 1961. He was a college graduate. He became a cartoonist for the San Francisco Chronicle. He was an actor. If you saw The Cisco Kid in the 1950s, you know him. He played Pancho from 1950 to 1956. He worked for the California State Parks, acquiring land for parks. Due to his success, they named a canyon, park, and beach in honor of him.

Alfie is learning how to behave around people and other dogs. He is still a puppy. Karen is wearing her fish shirt.

I love the sound of waves crashing into the beach.

Alfie was afraid of the water.

Kelp from the kelp forests off shore.

Alfie enjoyed some of our beach visit.

Karen gives Alfie a hug. She likes him.

Water, sand, and rocks; because it is a state park, there are not houses along the shore. Not far from here is a camp grounds with camp sites, trees, and picnic tables. The camping grounds looks exactly as it did 30 years ago.

Breath that fresh air.

Pat is enjoying himself. Did you put sunblock on?

Waves crash in on these rocks, just as they have for hundreds of years. The tide is in in these pictures. When the tide is out, you can walk past these rocks that are now surrounded by water.

An interesting section of beach.
Alfred digs for treasure. Aren't Monica's parents a cute couple?
