Monica's brother Joe met us at the gate and he took us on a tour of the Paramount lot. |
It's a pretty large place with 35 stages, offices, and the back lot where they have streets and buildings to shoot outdoor scenes. |
Joe's current stage is 19 where they are filming "See Dad Run." On Fridays they have a live audience. |
The Bob Hope building. I would like to have seen Clint Eastwood's office. |
This is a very large operation employing thousands of people. |
Joe thought they were setting up to film a Payton Manning commercial. |
There were uniforms for Denver, Pittsburgh, and New England. |
Joe said most of the equipment at the studios is rented. |
Each stage has a list of the movies and television shows recorded there. The studio's greatest grossing film is Titanic. |
Joe explains what he does each day. Some days he works 16 hours. It is his responsibility to produce a Call Sheet that tells the actors where and when they have to be. He makes sure they are there. |
Wardrobe uses the Call Sheet and the script to get the costumes ready. |
Even to get a job in wardrobe you have to know somebody. |
These buildings have very high ceilings. People that work in the building say it's haunted. |
These are the backs of the kitchen and living room. |
