Row, Row, Row Your Boat, Gently Down the Stream...Merrily, Merrily, Merrily, Merrily Life Is But A Dream

Today we are fishing without the trolling motor. We just can't work the shoreline like we would like to; we can't go in and free snags without a lot of trouble. The constant starting and stopping the motor is burning up gas.

We'll just do the best we can. We still can't find the pattern. We never did find the pattern on this trip.

We still enjoy ourselves. We are so glad Adam stayed all week. What a thrill for Thrill Bill.

We boat around trying proven spots.

Adam relaxing at the helm. Right, steer left, steer right, faster, slower! Hooper, aren't you watching? I don't have to take this abuse.
I'm exhausted. When do I get to fish?

A small northern is landed.

It's nice to have a fish to take a picture of.

This is the largest walleye we ever caught, 27 inches. One nice fish like this can make a trip.

I'm very happy for Tommy. We were fishing along the shore of an island on Thousand Island Lake.

With no fry in the water, the fish were going after the fatter lures. But you had to work hard to get them.

One last picture before we put you back.

This is the lure that caught two large walleyes. Tommy was working it slowly along a shore that had a lot of broken branches. He would feel a branch and pause and let the lure float off. When he felt a fish on, he took up the slack and set the hook. He was using very strong braided line.

Tommy had only one of this lure and we couldn't find it being sold in several tackle stores in the area.

The sun was setting after we caught the large walleye. It was 7:45 pm when he hooked the fish.

Motoring back with the sun setting. Happy, very happy.
