MAI NEWS - A Few Turkeys In Class Today

  • the science test Friday was an open book test that the students had over an hour to complete: their grades are a reflection of their test taking skills and their reading skills; some do not have the patience and diligence to look up the answers that were in the chapter
  • we started our non-fiction reading project today; the project has no written component required
  • in math today: 4th pp. 268-271 (1-47 odd; 48-69 all) ; 5th pp. 338-339 (1-16) and pp. 340- 341 (1-29); 6th pp. 290-291 (1-28) and p. 293 (1-8)
  • there are only five math tests left this year
  • we are hoping people can help pay for the rockets so we don't have to use a lot of our gift and donations money
  • tomorrow no homework is due except correcting the math lesson
  • students from my first year of teaching at Copper Creek are eighteen years old - wow!
  • several students have already finished reading Holes - they liked the book a lot and it's 7 AR points

  1. Glad to see your white truck earlier than me this morning. Tells me things are being set right again. I'm feeling a little melancholy; Tuesday's are always "sorrowful".--MS
