- Vacation: a time to get away. Get away from work. Get away from the noise of the city. Get aways from the latest government calamity. It is a time to relax. Get a little sun and fresh air. Try your skills against nature. 95% of the water has few fish. And when you find the fish, that doesn't mean they are biting. We like to say aggressive. We catch and release. Actually, we catch, take a picture, and release. Few fish are injured. But we have our own mishaps. You cast and land in a tree. You land on top of the pier while another boat goes by and they see what you just did. You hook a weed. You hook a stump. You hook the anchor. You hook yourself and have to go to the hospital. These are all part of the experience. It must not be that big a problem because we keep coming back. We tease each other about our habits. Adam takes a book in the bathroom. See you in an hour. We tease each other about calling home and checking in. We teased Tom because he brought three hampers of clothes like he was in a fashion show. We tell stories. We go down memory lane. We laugh. We enjoy great meals. We never fight. We never argue. We never insult. We deal with things like a bird's nest. That is when your line gets all tangled up. We deal with a guy that came out yelling because he thought we got too close to his raft. Our expensive boat; his cheap raft. Right. We says a few choice words and move along. So this kind of vacation is about getting away, catching fish, trying out our latest tackle, enjoying nature, and hanging out with people we love and care about.
Love your input. Will listen to requests or ideas for future blogs. Have a safe day. Would love to hear from former students or their great parents. God bless the United States of America.
