Math
What do Currency Exchanges and H&R Block have to do with math? Both are reasons to learn arithmetic. People who cash their checks at a Currency Exchange pay an exorbitant fee to have their checks cashed. They do this because they do not know how to open or balance a check book. Sad.

Some people go to H&R Block to have pay them a fee to have them fill out the short income tax form because they do not have the reading or arithmetic skills to complete simple math and read a chart. Learning math ought to be important to every student, even the ones who do not come to school to learn. You cab lead a horse to water....
