Mexican Poppies - Wildflowers of the Sonoran Desert

These beautiful yellow-orange have their delicate pedals folded until the sun warms the day.

Single flowers, clumps of flowers, and fields of flowers; none of these were planted.

A hill adjacent to a jogging path adds beauty to a morning walk or run.
The first poppies of late winter.
